FOX POINT

Fox Point is an award-winning LEED Gold project that provides 48 units of affordable housing to formerly homeless and low-income families and individuals.

What distinguishes it from other supportive housing projects is that by earning LEED Gold, Fox Point is one of the first in NYC to integrate green systems and materials into a building’s design and operation, thereby ensuring its long-term affordability.

Sustainable features include:
- a highly efficient building envelope
- microturbine for waste energy capture and reuse
- maximized daylighting
- argon-filled, low-E windows
- built-in sun shades
- 2 green rooftops and ground level terrace/ play area
- rapidly renewable and regionally sourced materials
- low-VOC paints
- Energy Star appliances and efficient lighting

Support facilities for tenants include service offices, a computer lab, communal gathering spaces both inside and outside, and on-site bicycle storage.

In 2012, Fox Point was awarded "Outstanding Residence of the Year" by the Supportive Housing Netwrok of New York (SHNNY).
